Two therapists, one client. Learn how to provide a truly dynamic massage experience. This workshop will introduce the students to the dance of 4-hand Thai massage as performed by two practitioners working in concert to deliver an amazing massage experience. Working in tandem, with one therapist acting as the ‘captain’ while the second therapist works as the ‘crew’ this work will bring a whole new dimension to your practice. Working with the concepts of Yin/Yang, symmetry/asymmetry, and stillness/movement, students will learn to communicate and direct their way through a simple 4-hand Thai massage routine. Attendees are asked to wear movement-friendly clothing and bring a top sheet to class

No previous massage experience is necessary.

This one-day workshop will teach students who practice mat work how to do a full-body session with the client lying on their side. Ideal for everybody, side-lying position is encouraged during pregnancy, for clients with conditions that make either supine or prone positions uncomfortable as well as for therapists who wish to expand their mat-work toolbox. The focus of the workshop will be on the physical application of technique while discussing the benefit from a Shiatsu as well as Thai medical perspective. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing. No jeans or skirts/dresses please.

Thai Herbal Compress

This workshop will introduce the student to the practice of Thai herbal compress therapy (known as Luk Prakob inThailand). Herbal compresses have been used for hundreds of years in traditional Thai medicine to address a number of conditions from joint pain to aiding in lactation in nursing mothers. 

During the workshop students will be introduced to basic Thai medical theory and herbal medicine as practiced in Thailand. We will make our own herbal compresses, blending together a combination of herbs to create a unique blend for the individuals preference. Students will learn how to incorporate herbal compress therapy into their existing practice as well as how herbal compress therapy has been used in traditional Thai medicine. This technique is a wonderful addition to your existing spa practice as well as your home-remedy toolbox.

This 16 hour workshop will provide students with an understanding of the basic routine of traditional Thai massage as practiced in Northern Thailand. We will explore addressing the body in the supine position with a focus on assisted stretching and Sen (energy) work. We will also be introducing abdominal massage (Chi Nei Tsang

This is an opportunity for those interested in Thai massage to explore and experience this masterful work. This workshop is open to any and all people, no previous massage training is necessary. Couples are encouraged to attend together as this work is ideal for sharing with friends and family. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing. No jeans or skirts/dresses please.
